COVID-19 statement

Tuesday 17th March, 2020

To our Peachy community,

We certainly are in an unprecedented time, navigating a world which is changing on a daily basis… Peach Tree’s hope to have face-to-face groups continue has unfortunately changed over the past 24 hours.  Due to this, we will be temporarily closing the doors of our physical Peach Tree face-to-face, physical locations at the end of business on Tuesday 17th March, 2020.

Please know, this decision has not been made lightly. Times are, and will continue to be challenging and we know many people will be in need of support.  Peach Tree’s decision during such challenges must, as always, uphold safety for all in line with our values and best practice guidelines.  Our responsibility and duty of care extends not only to the lovely parents who attend our services, but also to our valuable peer workforce and their families.

The length of time our physical locations will be closed is uncertain.  We will be guided and directed by the official advice provided by Commonwealth and State Government bodies.  We hope to be back and personally connecting with each and every one of you as soon as it is possible to do so.

In the meantime, we will be providing information about our new online and telephone support offerings.  While we know such services will never replace face-to-face connection, in times such as these they will play an extremely important role in making sure our “social distancing” efforts also provide an avenue for perinatal wellbeing support and positive conversations!

Thank you to everyone for your continued understanding of our situation and your patience while we navigate this tricky time.  The incredible kindness and awesome spirit of our community is appreciated more than you know.

Please stay safe and take care,

The Peach Tree team…
