Current Opportunities
We currently have the following positions available:
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to accept applications if you are currently accessing Peach Tree services, or have done so during the past 12 months.
PEER WORKER (Dads Branch) role x 1
– Use your Lived Experience of perinatal mental health concerns to help other parents
– Casual, approx. 10 hours per week initially plus training
– Professional development opportunities
We’re looking for a Peer Worker to join our growing peer-led community mental health services for fathers and partners.
If you’re a father or partner who has experienced emotional wellbeing/mental health challenges during your transition to parenthood, please consider sharing your experiences with others who need – and would greatly appreciate – your understanding, compassion, and support.
Our Peer Workers help build, support, and strengthen parents’ resilience and social connections through education, targeted mental health facilitation, and peer-led group support.
The position is casual (approx. 10 hours per week initially), making them the perfect option for stay-at-home or return-to-work parents. We need (and welcome) your expertise!
We have existing Peach Tree services within Brisbane North, Brisbane South, and Moreton Bay regions.
EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST / Perinatal Mental Health (PMH) Peer Workers
– Use your Lived Experience of perinatal mental health concerns to help other parents
– Casual, approx. 10 hours per week initially plus training
– Professional development opportunities
Being a PMH Peer Worker at Peach Tree means using your lived experience of perinatal mental health challenges and your story of hope, resilience, and re(dis)covery to support other parents in connecting and sharing their experiences openly. Our PMH Peer Workers ‘hold space’ for parents to find validation and feel heard, without judgement, advice, or stigma.
Our PMH Peer Workers come from very different professional backgrounds / events coordination, yoga teaching, book editing, floristry, project management, massage therapy, to name a few / with a shared purpose to help expecting and new parents who are finding parenthood isn’t as ‘peachy’ as they’d hoped or expected.
If you’re now past the whirlwind that is very early parenthood and feel you’re in the ‘re(dis)covered’ stage of your lived experience, you might consider becoming a PMH Peer Worker with Peach Tree – we’d love to hear from you! Please complete the Expression of Interest form below so we can notify you of upcoming opportunities. Alternatively, simply click on the role description button for more information.
